REGINA – Rider fans love to wear their pride, but it’s pretty tough to show off our Grey Cup win.
Right now, black T-shirts and hats are the only Grey Cup Championship logo items in stores. After Sunday’s big win, Rider Nation has had an appetite for the styles.
If you don’t have your gear yet, you’re not out of luck, but you’ll have to work hard to get your hands on some. The team’s VP of Sales and Corporate Partnership, Steve Mazurak, says Rider stores are receiving shipments on a daily basis, but they only last a few hours.
“We want to keep away from blowout sales. We want to make sure we have those hot items, and this is a hot item right now,” said Mazurak pointing to a Championship Logo hat. “This is what the players receive on the field, and so these quantities are coming in on a daily basis.”
He says other items are being ordered. You can expect to see bunny hugs and jackets with the championship logo to be in stores before Christmas.
