SASKATOON – Award-winning musicians Codie Prevost and Stephen Maguire were in Saskatoon Tuesday for their “Imagine No Bullying” campaign.

Students at St. Joseph’s high school were treated to a show and some even strapped on their dancing shoes for the event.

Their community partners on the project include Saskatoon Downtown Lions, Canadian Red Cross, SaskMusic and the Saskatchewan Country Music Association.

The duo debuted their new song Let Love Conquer All to help spread their anti-bullying message.

Both musicians are sharing their own personal stories about bullying.

“I just grew up around it, you know. My situation was unique to me in Belfast (Ireland), growing up in civil war. Bullying was all around me,” said singer/songwriter Stephen Maquire.

“I came here and you hear about kids taking their own lives and I just thought, I need to do something about this. As a musician, we have microphones. We have stages. We have a lot of eyes on us, so we have a responsibility to do what we can.”

Prevost and Maquire will head to La Ronge, Sask. next and finish off their seven-school tour in Regina on Dec. 5.
