Watch: Montreal hit by a blizzard
MONTREAL – A blizzard in mid-march has left many Montrealers wondering if this is finally winter’s last hurrah – and students in several school boards cheering.
At least 30 to 50 centimetres of the white stuff hit the Montreal region late Wednesday. The snow continued to fall overnight and is expected to continue until midday Thursday.

Environment Canada issued a winter storm warning Wednesday, reminding travellers to check road conditions before setting out. The warning was lifted early Thursday morning
Schools on the south shore, Eastern Townships and north of Montreal have been closed due to inclement weather.
Montreal’s transit authority is warning that the bus service has been disrupted by the weather and is advising passengers to leave extra time when taking public transit.
There are several delays being reported on the AMT trains.
High winds and blowing snow reduced visibility, affecting flights in and out of the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport. Travellers are advised to check their flight status before leaving for the airport.
