TORONTO – A video of a northern Ontario baby crying as her mother sings is racking up the views on YouTube.
The video has been viewed almost 5 million times since it was posted on October 18.
The two minute video shows the baby beginning to cry as she sits and listens to her mother singing “My Heart Can’t Tell You No,” from Rod Stewart’s 1988 album Out Of Order.

The mother told TVA that she sings out loud at home because she was embarrassed to sing in public. When her daughter was 8 months old, she began to notice different emotional reactions depending on the song.
“I realized that happy songs made her smile and sad ones gave tears to her eyes and this song in particular: ‘My Heart can’t tell you no’ by Rod Stewart. One day, I decided to film her and you see the results ” Amanda Leroix said.
The young girl stopped crying after the song was finished.
