Watch: Young boy steals show from Pope Francis

A young boy unexpectedly joined Pope Francis on stage during the celebration of Family Day in Saint Peter’s Square in the Vatican last Saturday.

The boy, part of a group of children sitting around the stage where the pontiff was delivering his message to assembled families, walked up on stage and sat down in the Pope’s chair while he spoke.

The child stood next to the Pope during the homily and played around Pope Francis as he continued delivering his speech, occasionally patting the boy’s head.

Francis was not perturbed by the boy’s presence and attention, and let him wander freely on stage.
