UPDATE: A police spokesperson says Matthew was just located by police at City Centre Mall downtown. He is unharmed and officers are driving him home.
EDMONTON – Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a young boy, who wandered away from his home around 3:30 Monday afternoon in the area of 34 Avenue and 40 Street.
Ten-year-old Matthew Calfchild is Aboriginal. He has straight black hair cut in a “mushroom” style with bangs; he is approximately 4’0” tall and has a slim build.
Police say he was wearing a blue hooded sweater with a cartoon character on the front, with black track pants, black winter-style boots and was carrying a black backpack.
Anyone who has information on his whereabout is asking contact the EPS at 780-423-4567.
