Fireworks safety: A look at bylaws around the province

It’s that time of year again.

Halloween is approaching and many families and events would like to use fireworks as part of their celebrations.

But it is important to know what the bylaws are in your community and if you need to obtain a permit before you buy.

Selling and buying fireworks:

In B.C., except between Oct. 24 and Nov. 1 in any year, a person must not sell, give, fire or set off fireworks.
