CALGARY- The housing crunch and transit seem to be the biggest concerns on Calgarians minds, if a recent Q&A with Mayor Naheed Nenshi is any indication.
Nenshi participated in an AMA (ask me anything) on Reddit on Wednesday afternoon, and hundreds of questions poured in on the message board.
One user asked about the possibility of an extended LRT schedule so people have a cheap way to get home at the end of the night, which Nenshi said was ‘not a bad idea.’
Another popular topic was the city’s extremely low vacancy rate, especially in the wake of the June flood. Nenshi says he’s likely to put together a forum to look into the issue.
Nenshi is looking to be re-elected for a second term. The municipal election is on October 21.
