Edmonton – It’s an issue that hasn’t been discuss a lot during Edmonton’s 2013 municipal election, but housing and homelessness still affect too many Edmontonians.

Funding for affording housing and homelessness comes from senior governments, but municipalities play an integral role.

Edmonton is in the middle of its ten year plan to end homelessness. Strides have been made, but there more progress is still needed.

On Tuesday, two mayoral candidates attended a forum at Norquest College, with the focus on the issue.

Candidate Kerry Diotte was also invited to the forum but did not attend. His campaign indicates it was because of a scheduling error.
