EDMONTON- A 59-year-old man is dead, after a collision in Lac La Biche Monday morning.
RCMP say the man was crossing the street around 8:30 a.m. when he was hit by a vehicle, driven by a 24-year-old man.
Bystanders performed CPR on the man before emergency crews arrived on scene.
The 59-year-old was taken by ambulance to hospital, where he passed away a short time later.
The intersection at 101st Avenue and 105th Street in Lac La Biche was closed for about four hours as officers conducted their investigation.
RCMP say at this time alcohol and speed are not considered factors in the collision.
The investigation is ongoing and it is not known if charges will be laid at this time.
The victim’s name is not being released.
