Motorhome fire on Mary Hill Bypass spreads to grass beside the road
A motorhome caught fire on Friday morning on the Mary Hill Bypass.
The fire spread quickly to the grass beside the road, accelerated by the extremely dry conditions.
A Global News viewer, who called 911, said the fire spread very quickly.
There are homes in the area, but they were not threatened by the fire.
Crews closed the road between Shaughnessy and Pitt River Road while they dealt with the blaze, but it has since been reopened.
It is unclear at this time how the fire started.
