CALGARY – A tornado watch issued for the City of Calgary and surrounding areas has now ended.
Environment Canada issued the watch just after 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
Breaking news from Canada and around the world
sent to your email, as it happens.
It included communities outside of the city such as Okotoks, High River, Clareshold, Brooks, Strathmore and Vulcan.
Officials warned that funnel clouds were possible in those areas.
The warning was lifted around 7:40 p.m.
