SHELBURNE, N.S. – Two Nova Scotia men are headed to court, accused of stealing cable television signals from a local provider.
RCMP officers raided two homes on the same street in Shelburne on Friday evening, serving search warrants as they seized telecommunication devices taking the signal from Eastlink.
Police say they confiscated the cable television receivers along with 10 marijuana plants at one home, and a few hours later investigators raided another nearby home, where they seized more cable TV gear.
A 39-year-old man will be charged with failure to comply with a probation order and theft of a telecommunication service.
Both men were released and ordered to appear in Shelburne provincial court Oct. 23.
