A Surrey teen has been charged with attempting to sell brass knuckles online.
Transit Police were tipped to the 17-year-old’s attempt at selling three sets of brass knuckles at points along the SkyTrain through Crime Stoppers. The teen used the online advertising website, craigslist, to set up the sales. Brass knuckles are prohibited under the Criminal Code of Canada.
An undercover operation netted three sets of brass knuckles when the youth attempted to sell them. A fourth set of knuckles was located at his residence.
The teen, previously well known to police, was released with several conditions and is set to make his next court appearance July 31.
