The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will also be presented with a Canadian-handcrafted blanket, in honour of the birth of their first child.

Harper says the blanket will reflect Canada’s “rich and diverse culture.”

As well, the newborn prince will be given a selection of Canadian children’s books in English and in French.
