A warning for anyone purchasing a used vehicle

A Edmonton woman is warning consumers to get a mechanical vehicle inspection before purchasing a used vehicle. Global News

EDMONTON- An Edmonton mother is warning anyone shopping for a used vehicle to get their own mechanical inspection.

The warning comes after she says the car she purchased isn’t even roadworthy.

Melody Prevost says she trusted the dealer, who handed her an inspection sheet when she bought the vehicle; on it, the car passed with flying colours.

But in reality, Prevost says it’s not safe to drive and never should have passed the inspection. Now she is out more than $3,000 and her only transportation. She wants someone to be held accountable.
