TRURO, N.S. – A Nova Scotia man charged after police uncovered an alleged methamphetamine operation in the Truro area is scheduled to stand trial next year.

A four-day trial in provincial court will begin April 7 for Lance Gordon Philips, who has pleaded not guilty to charges including unlawfully producing methamphetamine and firearms offences.

The 26-year-old has elected trial by judge alone.

Police arrested him after they found what they say was a methamphetamine lab operating in the suburb of Salmon River in December.
