TORONTO – If you could give one piece of advice to anyone on the TTC what would it be? Would it be something cliche like ‘life to the fullest’ or something simple like be honest and go after your dreams and goals.
A Toronto couple, known for Confessions Underground, has collected small pieces of advice from the young and old and displaying it as part of a new project being featured on TTC platforms across the city.
“We wanted to produce a project that was about real people giving advice to real people,” Laura Mendes, Co-Director of Labspace Studio said.
That project is called Advice for the Living and features a collection of 30-second videos that play in various TTC locations. The videos feature seniors over the age of 70 and children under the age of seven giving advice to their peers and everyone else.
“We wanted to see similarities to what the kids were talking about and what the adults were talking about,” John Loerchner, Co-Director of Labspace Studio said. “The fact that we are talking about advice for how to live life it’s interesting to put young people beside older people.”
The project runs until the end of July.
