Nudists in Surrey will join their naked counterparts all across North America in their attempt to set the record for the world’s largest skinny-dip Saturday.

People will gear down and bare it all at Crescent Rock Naturist Beach at 1 p.m., while skinny-dippers will hold similar events across the continent.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

The American Association for Nude Recreation and The Naturist Society say for participants to be counted, they must be completely nude during the plunge.

The current Guinness World Record for the largest number of people simultaneously in the water without swimsuits is 14,288, and it was set in 2010.
