Cookie the cat caused quite the stir in a Vancouver neighbourhood over the past couple of days.
She climbed up a tree a few days ago, but wasn’t able to make her way back down.
She attracted quite the crowd high up on her perch.

Resident Claire Murgatroy stood at the base of the tree calling for Cookie on Tuesday afternoon.
“I thought ‘oh another stray’, once we get him down we’ll probably have to pay the vet bills, but we found the owner,” she said.
After days of trying to coax the calico down, the owner called in an arborist.
When he arrived and saw our news camera he said “seriously?”
But Cookie was attracting a lot of attention on that Vancouver street.
Luckily, it was a happy ending and Cookie will be OK.
