MONTREAL – The devastating explosion in Lac-Megantic, Quebec has made headlines around the world.
Five people have been confirmed dead and at least 40 are believed missing after tanker cars full of crude oil rolled down a hill on Saturday morning, obliterating the downtown core in an enormous blaze.
A spokesperson from Influence Communication in Montreal noted on Monday that the tragedy was the biggest international media story reported from the province in the past 18 months.
