Edmonton – A man is dead after the motorcycle he was driving crashed into a semi truck Thursday afternoon near Peace River

RCMP say the 56-year-old biker crossed the centre line on Highway 2 near North Harmon Valley Road, then collided with a semi.

The man died at the scene.

Investigators are trying to figure out why the motorbike crossed the centre line, although alcohol and road conditions aren’t believed to be a factor.

Peace River is 500 kilometers northwest of Edmonton.
