An elderly man has gone missing after his canoe flipped in waters around Squamish on Monday night.
A large search effort was launched, but the case is now considered an RCMP missing persons file after teams failed to find the man.

Two witnesses sounded the alarm when they saw the man canoeing in Blind Bay, and then when they looked again they saw an overturned canoe and the man was nowhere to be seen.
A dive team will be back in the waters this morning on a recovery mission.
