Gallery: Protests in Egypt’s Tahrir Square

Thousands of protesters are packed into Cairo’s Tahrir Square Thursday to try to force President Mohammed Morsi to rescind decrees granting him near absolute powers, and clashes continued Friday in the area off the square. Morsi’s declaration last week has energized, and to some degree unified, the mostly liberal and secular opposition after months of divisions and uncertainty.
