TORONTO – A tentative deal has been reached between a union that represents almost 600 Toronto school bus drivers and their employer, averting a potential strike Wednesday morning.
Members of CAW Local 4268, the union representing drivers for the Toronto District School Board and the Toronto Catholic District School Board, have reached a deal with Stock Transportation, union president Debbie Montgomery announced, roughly one hour before the strike deadline of 12:01 a.m.
Both school boards warned parents of a potential disruption.
Negotiations between Stock Transportation have been ongoing for the last month with talks continuing Tuesday.
