UPDATE: West Vancouver Police find missing man
UPDATE: Cyrus Mikulik has been found safe and sound.
West Vancouver Police and North Shore Search and Rescue are looking for 60-year-old Cyrus Mikulik.
He was last seen just before 8:15 a.m. Sunday morning leaving his home in the 1400-block of Tyrol Road in West Vancouver.
Police say Mikulik has limited communication ability as a result of a brain injury.
Tim Jones from North Shore Search and Rescue says members were called out to look for Mikulik at the request of the West Vancouver Police.
They conducted an urban search of North Vancouver, all the lower areas, and then heard he may have hopped on a bus to go over and see the Vancouver Sun Run. Ten members then went over to central Vancouver to look for him.
The search ended at about 5:00 p.m. and Mikulik has still not been found.
“At this point there’s nothing else we can do,” said Jones, who added he hopes the media release will spread awareness that Mikulik is still missing.
He is described as Caucasian, 6ft tall, and weighs about 150lbs.
He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black thin fabric windbreaker style jacket and a white baseball cap. He has very short, greyish white hair balding in front.
Contact Cst George Hunter of the West Vancouver Police immediately at 604-925-7300 if you see Mikulik.
