Raccoon high-wire act caught on video!

TORONTO – According to a 2012 David Suzuki documentary, Toronto is “the raccoon capital of the world” and has an average of 150 of the furry creatures per square kilometre.

Now it appears they’re getting smarter.

YouTube user Peter Buban posted the above video of one of the critters walking across power lines in the city’s east end as if they were on a tightrope in the circus.

In the video, the raccoon gingerly walks across the wires using its front paws to hold the upper line and balance itself.
