Uninvited party guests charged after man’s skull broken

SASKATOON – RCMP believe a set of brass knuckles was used in a vicious beating at a house party in Martensville last month.

Mounties were called to a house party on 6th Street North in the early hours of March 10.

A 19-year-old Martensville man reported two uninvited guests arrived at the residence and an altercation took place.

It was reported that the two guests reportedly assaulted a man and one had been seen wearing brass knuckles.

The victim was sent to hospital with a broken orbital bone in his skull. He has since received plastic surgery to his face.

Two Saskatoon men, both uninvited guests, have been charged with assault and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Brant Detillieux, 18, and 19-year-old Christopher Ptolemy are scheduled to appear in provincial court next month.
