A 50-year-old man found dead in a vehicle in the community of Beverly on Tuesday was the victim of a homicide, Edmonton police said on Wednesday.

Police say Spiros Jerry Tziklas, of Edmonton, died from a stab wound.

Shortly after 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, officers were called to 118 Avenue and 37 Street by paramedics who asked for assistance for what was initially thought to be a single-vehicle crash, however, officers determined the victim’s wounds were “not consistent with a collision.”
