Homicide detectives are investigating a suspicious death in northeast Edmonton’s Beverly area, were a body was found early Tuesday morning.

Police initially responded around 4:35 a.m. to a request to help EMS at the scene of what was believed to be a single-vehicle collision near 37 Street and 118 Avenue.

A news release from EPS said officers arrived to find a man dead in a vehicle, with wounds not consistent with a collision.

A body could be seen on 37 Street, north of 118 Avenue, in the Beacon Heights neighbourhood. A nearby car also had a window smashed out.
