Wetaskiwin RCMP said Friday they have recovered a “significant” amount of stolen property.

Officers executed a search warrant, along with the RCMP Edmonton Auto Theft Unit, at a rural property near the city on the morning of Sept. 3.

Officers found a hydro-vac truck estimated to be worth $350,000, four pickup trucks, one car, two holiday trailers, five utility trailers, one quad and other “various property.”

Police also seized ammunition, a small amount of drugs believed to be fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana.

“Clearly a long-term criminal operation was being run out of this property,” Cpl. Andrew Olfert said in a news release. “It’s a great result when we can remove stolen property from the wrong hands, and even better when we return that property to the rightful owners.”
