Gassing up ahead of the September long weekend is going to cost you even more.
For the second time in three days the price at the pump has increased.
On Thursday it had climbed $0.08 to $1.079 per litre of regular fuel. On Tuesday morning it went from $0.88 to $0.99.
Dan McTeague, with Gas Buddy, has tied the increase to Hurricane Harvey and earlier this week estimated the price could hit $1.10 in Winnipeg.
“Routes to refineries are flooded, many of those refineries are barely keeping up with pumping out enough water to maintain their edge and come back online,” McTeague told Global News on Tuesday.
