Alleged driving while masturbating leads to Nova Scotia man’s arrest, multiple charges

A 26-year-old man from Caledonia, N.S. has been charged with one count each of committing an indecent act and breach of probation after he was allegedly masturbating in a car while driving.

According to Halifax Regional Police, at 8:30 on Monday they received a call regarding a man masturbating in his car while driving in Bedford.

He was first observed by a woman who was driving in the area. She immediately stopped and called police.

She was able to provide a description of the suspect, the man and licence plate number.

Another man pulled up beside the vehicle and observed a man masturbating.

Police attended the area and located the car, unoccupied in a parking lot in the 900 block of Rocky Lake Drive.

The investigation led to police identifying the suspect who agreed to meet with police.

At 10:22 a.m. he was arrested by patrol members without incident.

Theodore Floyd Weare is scheduled to appear in court later today to face the charges.
