Child, adult taken to hospital after multi-vehicle crash on Deerfoot Trail

A child has been taken to hospital after a multi-vehicle collision on Deerfoot Trail on Friday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called to the scene of Deerfoot and McKnight at about 12:40 p.m.

EMS assessed four patients at the scene, and confirmed that two of them — a child and adult, believed to be travelling in the same vehicle — were taken to the Peter Lougheed Centre in stable condition.

Calgary police said it appeared three vehicles were involved in the crash.
