As part of ongoing work to build a new trades training centre for Vernon’s Okanagan College campus, a four-hour scheduled power outage is planned for Friday afternoon.
No buildings on the campus will be receiving power from B.C Hydro between noon and 4 p.m.
However, the college said it will have its emergency generator running and day camps and room rentals will go ahead as planned.
Some locations may be changed so the college is asking those who will be using the Vernon campus during the power outage to call (250) 545-7291 to find out where their activity will be located.
When trades training centre was announced in 2016, officials expected the $6.2-million project to be finished in the spring of 2018.
