The investigation into a Wednesday evening fire that destroyed a barn housing over 4,000 hogs in Warwick Township is concluded.
The Office of the Ontario Fire Marshal has determined the fire is non-suspicious in nature, though the exact cause has yet to be confirmed.
OPP were joined by six local fire departments to the address the fire in the 5500 block of Arkona Road just before 8 p.m. Wednesday. When emergency services arrived the barn was already fully engulfed.
Arkona Road was closed between Confederation Line and Zion Line for several hours as crews battled the blaze.
The cost of damages and loss is expected to exceed $1,000,000.
