Female pedestrian ‘pinned’ after collision in Toronto’s Junction neighbourhood

A female pedestrian in her 60s was taken to a trauma centre after being struck by a vehicle involved in a T-bone collision in the Junction Sunday.

Toronto police said officers responded to a call about a collision at Keele and Annette streets around 11:30 a.m.

Police said a silver vehicle driving northbound on Keele collided with a red SUV driving eastbound on Annette. As a result of the collision, police said the SUV struck a pedestrian, pinning her against the outside of a house.

Toronto paramedics said the female pedestrian was taken to a trauma centre with serious injuries. Three other victims were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The intersection of Keele and Annette was closed while an investigation was underway, but has since been reopened.
