Toronto police say a 13-year-old girl has been arrested after photos posted on Twitter showed her laying on top of a subway car at one of the transit agency’s storage facilities.

The photos were posted by Christopher Wagner Friday afternoon.

“@TTChelps hey @ttc someone’s sleeping on a train @ davisville train yard?!?” he tweeted, including pictures of the girl with her arms folded above her head as she rested on the subway car below the Beltline Trail bridge.

Minutes later Wagner tweeted a picture of the teen appearing to check her phone.

“@TTChelps is this a new @ttc hangout spot?” he wrote.

A TTC spokesperson told Global News transit staff saw the tweets at 2:30 p.m. and special constables went to get her down. They said the constables found the girl on the parked subway train at Davisville yard, which was out of service.

Toronto police said they were called to attend the subway yard, but officers were later called off since TTC constables responded. The girl was arrested and taken to a police station. Police said she will be released and entered into a youth pre-charge diversion program. She will not be charged criminally, police said.

Transit staff said they are trying to determine how she got on top of the subway car. On Twitter, TTC spokesman Stuart Green called the trespassing incident “incredibly dangerous and illegal.”

“Thankfully today’s incident at Davisville Yard ended without injury,” he wrote.
