Toronto police’s homicide squad have now taken over an investigation in which it’s alleged a Jeep struck a man dead in the city’s west end area.

Officers responding to a fail to remain call near Black Creek Drive and Weston Road, say the suspect vehicle was travelling west in an eastbound lane just before 5:00 a.m. early Wednesday morning when it plowed through two people involved in an altercation on that road.
