1 person sent to hospital after crash in south London

One person was treated by EMS and transported to hospital after a two-vehicle crash early Monday morning at Wonderland Rd. South and Hamlyn St. London Police

Local emergency crews spent hours cleaning up an early-morning crash in the city’s south end that caused a small fuel spill and sent one person to hospital.

London police say it was shortly after 7:30 a.m. Monday when two vehicles collided at Wonderland Road South and Hamlyn Street, south of Exeter Road.

One of the occupants had to be cut from the vehicle they were in and was treated by paramedics and transported to hospital for further care. Their current condition isn’t known.

Officers say members of the London Fire Department also moved quickly to contain a small diesel fuel spill and the Ministry of the Environment had been notified.

Traffic in the area was detoured for roughly five hours while crews worked to clear the scene.
