Progressive Conservative Leader Jamie Baillie has kept his seat in the riding of Cumberland South.

He won with 51.5 per cent of the vote.

Baillie has held the seat since 2010 when he was elected in a by-election, which was held after former Speaker and MLA Murray Scott decided to retire. Baillie was named interim leader of the PCs in August 2010, taking over for then interim leader Karen Casey. He won the leadership race in October 2010.  He is a chartered accountant and prior to election, served as president of Credit Union Atlantic.

The riding has been a longtime Progressive Conservative stronghold. Prior to Baillie, it was held by Scott from 1998 until 2010. The riding was also held by the Liberals for one term when the riding was created in 1993.
