WINNIPEG — Summer isn’t here just yet, but with so many summer attractions opening up May long weekend it sure feels like it is.

The St. Norbert Farmer’s Market opened Saturday, with a little fiddling twist.

To mark World Fiddle Day, the long weekend, and Manitoba’s largest farmers’ market, fiddle jams were combined with the market.

All Manitobans have the opportunity to shop local, shop fresh, and check out things made and baked right from Manitoba.

“Everything you buy here is made, baked, or grown in Manitoba. We value that so much that we actually inspect our vendors to ensure they’re making it, baking it, and growing it themselves,” Marilyn Firth with St. Norbert Farmers’ Market said.
