Now that spring has sprung, the City of Kelowna is reminding motorists that they must share the road with cyclists.
The first day of spring is today.
With that in mind, the city is asking motorists to check their blind spots before turning, look for cyclists before opening their doors and that cyclists have the right of way.
The city says it’s currently sweeping all bike lanes and most roadways in anticipation of a growing number of cyclists biking to school and work.
This year, the annual Bike to Work Week is May 29 to June 4.
