Young men charged after major drug bust in N.W. Calgary

 CALGARY- Two young men are facing multiple charges after police busted a drug trafficking operation.

Police executed a warrant at a home in the 1500 block of Sherwood Blvd. N.W. on Thursday. Inside, they found 162 grams of cocain, 800 grams of marijuana, oxycodone and cannabis resin.

They also seized $8,000 cash and a variety of drug trafficking paraphernalia, including weigh scales and a hydraulic press.

“Any time we can seize significant equipment means we have a greater impact on shutting down these operations,” said CFSEU-Calgary Acting Sgt. Rob Mackenzie. “Drug trafficking jeopardizes the safety of our communities and we will continue to target those who engage in this kind of criminal activity.”

20-year-old Devon Churchill and 20-year-old Alexander Sikora are now facing a number of charges including posssion for the purpose of trafficking.
