A 91-year-old man died in hospital Sunday after a two-vehicle collision southeast of Edmonton.
Police were called to the crash on Highway 834 south of Tofield, Alta. at around 10:30 a.m. Sunday.
Police said a car was heading south on the highway when it crossed over into the northbound lane and collided with an SUV.
The 91-year-old driver of the car was taken by STARS Air Ambulance to hospital in Edmonton with life-threatening injuries. He later died of his injuries.
The 88-year-old man driving the SUV and his 70-year-old passenger, both from Wetaskiwin, were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The name of the victim will not be released, RCMP said in a media release Monday.
Tofield is located approximately 65 kilometres southeast of Edmonton.
