P.K. Subban’s Just For Laughs special to air in January

A Just For Laughs comedy gala that served as P.K. Subban’s goodbye to Montreal will be broadcast as a one-hour TV special in the new year.

“P.K. Subban: Shots Fired” sees the Nashville Predators defenceman showcase his comedic chops while presenting a lineup of North American talents including Jeremy Hotz, Nate Bargatze, Dom Irrera, Tom Rhodes, Rebecca Kohler and the Sklar Brothers.

When the gala was first announced in March, the NHL all-star and fan favourite was still with the Montreal Canadiens.

He was traded to Nashville for Shea Weber on June 29 in a controversial and divisive deal, but still went on with the comedy show, which was staged in August.

Proceeds raised by the P.K. Subban Foundation from the gala were to be donated to the Montreal Children’s Hospital Foundation.
