UPDATE: Vancouver police arrested 38-year-old Jason Michael Dagenais shortly after 3 p.m. following his robbery at the Bank of Montreal on Granville Street. He remains in custody.
Vancouver Police are looking for a man wanted in connection with robbing two Scotiabank locations.
Police say just before 10 a.m. on Nov. 10, a man allegedly entered the Scotiabank on Granville Street, near West 12th, and gave the employee a note saying he was holding up the bank.
He made off with an undisclosed amount of money.
Four days later, on Nov. 14 at 3 p.m., the same man is reported to have entered the Scotiabank on West Broadway and MacDonald Street and gave the bank teller a note demanding money.
Thirty-eight-year-old Vancouver resident Jason Michael Dagenais is currently wanted for two counts of robbery.
“Although we have seen an increase in the number of bank robberies over the last couple of years, our solve rate remains over 90 per cent,” says VPD Constable Jason Doucette. “Bank robbers get caught.”
Dagenais is described as being Caucasian, 6’1” tall, 220 pounds, with light brown hair and blue eyes. He has a lengthy criminal record, including robberies, property crimes, and drug offences.
