The 14th annual Christmas Party will take place on Dec. 15 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church (10014 81 Avenue NW).

However, the free, full-course turkey dinner needs donations and sponsors in order to run.

The owner, Brenda Der, is reaching out to the Edmonton community for help.

In order to offer the Dec. 15 meal to help those in need, Der and her team are looking for corporate sponsors as well as food and monetary donations.

The diner’s annual Christmas dinner nearly didn’t happen last year due to a lack of donations. But, Edmontonians stepped up in December after B’s put out a call for food donations, worried they would have to cancel the annual dinner for those in need of a hot meal.

“Because of the generosity of the community, we fed over 650 at the Xmas Party last year and handed out close to 200 food hampers with toys,” Der shared in a Facebook message.

“We provided almost 100 cooked meals to seniors and veterans,” she said. “Let’s make it a reality once again!!!”
