Four kids are now orphaned after discovering their mother and father’s lifeless bodies Saturday morning.
Crews responded to Glengrove Close S.W. after a call to 911. It’s believed the eldest child called for help.

Calgary Police Service Staff Sgt. Mark Hatchette said officers are investigating the possibility of an accidental drug overdose.
“We can all assume how they’re feeling, especially this time of year, with this tragedy having children aged four to fourteen involved,” he said.
“No child should ever be involved in finding both parents deceased inside their home.”
It’s not known what drugs the couple were possibly ingesting, but police admit they have been battling with the deadly consequences of fentanyl for some time now.
The opioid has varying degrees of potency and anybody taking it has no way of knowing how powerful it is.

“There are dangerous mixtures that will kill you–this is an illustration of that,” Staff Sgt. Hatchette said. “Something they may have bought one day from some person is different than buying from another person on a different day and when they use the same doses, they can become deadly.”
The children aren’t being identified. Police said they are in a safe place being cared for.
