The Canadian Tourism Awards are presented annually to recognize success, leadership and innovation in Canada’s tourism industry as well as to reward those that have gone above and beyond to offer travellers superior experiences.

Cardinal was brought up in Ituna, Sask., and started working at the hotel back in 1969. After 47 years of service, Cardinal said he doesn’t plan on retiring until he makes it to the 50-year milestone.
